Vins Can Coleto

Since the year 2000 we have started our production of vine following the system of ecological agriculture.

We started planting a small plot of • about 2000 m2. The intention was to continue making wine from home.

Homemade wine was a very old Mallorcan tradition that consisted in making wine for its own consumption. A few families were gathered together and, working together, made the wine that was then distributed.

The grapes came from their own vineyards or others that they would harvest and buy.

Times were changing, the vineyards were old, people were looking for easy money and the vine was busy. Then the vines were neglected and snatched away. We are talking about the 70s.
